FAQ – Australian Licences

Will my business participate in a Mini Maestros collective or directed marketing program.2026-09-03T01:49:04+00:00

No. While a licensee has access to some of our marketing resources, they are entirely responsible for their own marketing and do not participate in the collective marketing program used by Mini Maestros franchisees.  Each licensee is independent and determines its own marketing plan and how they operate their business. Each licensee must rely on their own local knowledge to market and promote their Mini Maestros program.

Why aren’t licences available in Victoria?2026-08-31T06:10:28+00:00
Licences are not available in Victoria because the Mini Maestros franchise network is based in Victoria.
Who owns the intellectual property?2026-09-03T03:17:24+00:00

The intellectual property in the program remains the property of Mini Maestros.

What sort of training and support can I expect both upfront and on-going?2026-08-31T06:21:28+00:00

Training of licensees and their employee teachers is self-managed by video courses plus online written materials. The training package comprises the following:

  1. New teacher training (Mini Maestros philosophy, musical skills and classroom management)
  2. Program training (learning the repertoire)
  3. Teaching equipment training (what makes up the teaching kit and what different items are used for)

Licensees have ongoing access to these resources plus limited one-on-one support in their first year. Licensees have ongoing support by email for Q&A relating to the teaching curriculum.

What resources do licensees have access to?2026-08-31T06:12:06+00:00
As well as the complete Mini Maestros teaching program, licensees have access to training, classroom management, safety and marketing resources.
What happens when my licence ends?2026-08-31T06:33:29+00:00

If you do not renew your licence or it otherwise comes to an end you must stop using the Mini Maestros program, and may not use any part of it any longer. You must remove any reference to it from your business.

What are the prerequisites to being a licensee?2026-08-31T06:08:45+00:00
Having an existing music teaching business in which you would like to incorporate a pre-school program.
If I have employee teachers, how many can use the program under one licence?2026-08-31T06:14:37+00:00
There is no limit to the number of teachers employed by you that may teach the program under your licence.
Does a licencee have access to Mini Maestros business methodologies and systems, eg. teacher employment or student enrolment processes?2026-08-31T06:17:04+00:00
No. Your business must use its own methodologies and systems or source them from elsewhere.
Can I use Mini Maestros in my business name?2026-08-31T06:25:33+00:00

No. Licensees cannot use Mini Maestros in their registered business name. They can use it advertising the programs available at their business.  For example, a business classed North Coast Music School, can advertise “Mini Maestros classes at North Coast Music School”, or North Coast Music School’s Mini Maestros classes for preschoolers”.
